Kiriban - Seren

Hello random people who will view this picture!

I finally finished ittt~! This is a kiriban won by , and I still actually have another one to draw. Hehe. I need to stop being so lazy.

Anyway, she asked for a pink haired mermaid, since she liked my other mermaid drawing (it can be found here ---> [link]) and that's about it. It was a bit difficult at first for me to think of a pose for it and what colours I should pick, but I think the results are good!

Why is she sitting on a cloud with a star? (yes, that's a star, if you couldn't tell. I think I made too many bright things in this picture. Oh well. XD)

The main theme of this picture was inspired by ~momoko-rose, who helped me decide on which colour to use for the mermaid's tail. She also suggested that I put stars in the background, and some other details which I can't clearly remember. But when she said that, I had an idea, and thus, Seren was born.

Little bit of background info; Seren is a mermaid, who is fascinated by the sky and it's stars. While most of her kind are told with stories of seeking adventure on land, she dreamt of the moon and the sun, dancing on their vast stage.

A not so typical mermaid, I guess you could say. XD

So yeah, I think I did pretty well in the end! And I tried a style of colouring similar to my previous mermaid artwork. It was really fun too! No worrying about perfect flat colours either - which is one of my most disliked part about colouring.

Yes, I realise that the colour of her skin is too bright. I didn't know how to fix it, so I just left it as it was. XD

Anyway, I think I've dragged out this description box for long enough. I tend to blabber a lot. I don't mind, but it's your eyes I'm wearing out, as well as mine, so I'll stop. XD
